Default Range Tech (Fire)-US Fish and Wildlife Service

I'm just trying to find some people who are familiar with the position of Range Tech/Aid (Fire) and who can give me some insight about the job. I know that it consist of wildland firefighting. I've been offered a temporary position, could the experience of this position help me in my quest of getting on a city department?

Where at? I worked as a Range Tech(fire) for US Fish and Wildlife a few years ago. Basically its a fire poition they just advertise under that heading. All federal fire poitions are either forestry tech or range tech. PM me if you have any questions.
