Yesterday I'm doing yardwork.
The AM station I'm listening to mentions during it's top-of-the-hour report that police had uncovered a weapons cache secondary to a drug raid...
I'm thinking it's the normal handguns/shotguns/"assault" rifles assortment, maybe throw in a few throwing stars and a machete.
Read the paper this morning...
DEA busted the daughter for making Ecastasy (hey, at least she was a student a the pharmacy college in downtown Worcester...put that education to good use, well other than the $100k/year career she would've had...)
Dad however, it turns out, had a bit of a weapons collection that from the news articles was a total surprise to the agents:

I think it's the right of every God-fearing, red-blooded American to own and posses firearms for legal purposes. Everyone needs a rocket launcher. It's guaranteed by the Second Amendment. I have three, in case the first two fail.
Yikes.

HOLY CRAP BATMAN!
But ya gotta kinda smile at least a little bit for the tongue-in-cheek about "put that education to good use..." bit.If you don't do it RIGHT today, when will you have time to do it over? (Hall of Fame basketball player/coach John Wooden)

Wonder if he had a FOID card?
Is a rocket launcher considered a "firearm"?
And did he have trigger locks on all of them?
Safety first!

And the rocket launcher is for hunting moose.
I like my guns but man I would be scared to have that thing in my house.

Follow up from the paper:
Michael M. Piesak, 51, of 7 Third Ave., Dudley, was charged with two counts of possessing a machine gun, possession of a silencer and two counts of improper storage of a firearm after a search of his second-floor apartment by law enforcement authorities turned up 30 weapons, including what were described as machine guns, a rocket-propelled grenade launcher and a silencer.
...
Judge John S. McCann reduced the bail to $10,000 cash after a bail hearing yesterday in Worcester Superior Court. Mr. Piesak was released from custody later in the day after posting the $10,000.
In his argument in support of the bail reduction, Mr. Piesak’s lawyer, Peter L. Ettenberg, told Judge McCann that many of the weapons seized were inoperable. Mr. Ettenberg said his client had obtained a firearm identification card, a pistol permit, a federal firearms license and a “curios and relics” license as a collector, but conceded that some of the licenses possibly had expired. He said Mr. Piesak, an electrician, had no criminal record.

My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

Tell me that wouldn't be your favorite house to attend a fire at?

Forget that the house probably had thousands of rounds of ammo to go with those firearms, cause that anti-armor weapon would bring the term "dangerous contents" to a whole new level.
Never argue with an Idiot. They drag you down to their level, and then beat you with experience!
