Need An Sog /gog On Working Out

We used to have to wait until after 4:30 pm to work out. Now we have a new chief and we are allowed to work out whenever we can fit it into our day & the officer OK's it. Its not manditory and not everyone works out. We have no SOG on this but that is how we do it.

We check the engines and the equipment in the morining then go straight to working out around 9:00.

There’s a dual of two evils when you are talking about setting up a time for working out. Working out in the morning has the most physical benefits, but will leave the crew with fatigue for the rest of the shift. So there needs to be a balance of run volume and shift length taken into consideration.

We also are able to work out on duty at any time. The police in my town actually have wording in thier contract that they will have 1 hour per shift available to work out if they so choose.
