i was trying to find the recommended training for for dept's i am not sure if it is in ifsta or nfpa, i can't find it. i just want to make sure that i am covering all the recommended categories. if anyone has some made up, i would be interested in those too. just became captain/training officer. and trying to start our training from scratch. any help would be appreciated.

I think all Training Officers go through this. I took over Training a little over two years ago, and focused on the basics. It met with some difficulty but sometimes thats what you have to do.
Check out NFPA 1410, it has several evolutions that your department can do so you can make decisions on needs of the department.
Also talk to your officers, see what they want to do, see if they suggest topics they would like to see, it helps you help them, especially if they have a buy in.
