    Default Chicago get together/hotels...

There are a bunch of us here who have applied...is there any interest in getting together and tossing a few back? Firstly where are you staying, and where doesn anyone want to go? If you'll be in town still on the night of the 26th it would probably be the best..

Me I'm staying at the McCormick Hyatt Regency..expensive yes, but the short walk to the test will be nice.

I'd probably be up for a few drinks.

Go Southwest for the cheapest fares, but book ASAP. Also know your local carriers, sometimes you can get $99 round trips on the smaller guys with less routes.

Stayed at the McCormick alot with conventions. Hotel bar has a Tender named Melissa. Loves firefighters and the drinks are not watered down. She's a person to tip well. Tell her I said hello.

Well someone needs to set a time a place on the 26th, then. I'm always down to throw a few back!

BTW, roundtrip from Nashville to Chi-town...$98. Cheaper then driving.

    That is all.

Ok seems like you guys could help. Need info on a decent close hotels, and which airline or travel site I should use. I never flew before and no little about the general Chicago area other then the FD. I would be coming from the central PA area and could fly out of Baltimore/Washington BWI or Philly. I think my wife and child might come along to see Chicago while I am testing. Where is the testing site at? Have not heard which day or time I will be testing yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can also be emailed at sr7043@yahoo.com

    Thanks a million!!

Southwest.com.........Southwest always has the best fares, but you can only find them on their webpage and have to book them in advance.

I'm originally from the Chicagoland area but living in Knox-Vegas (Knoxville) TN. I'm driving to Nashville and flying out with SW.

Oh Yeah, still need to set a time and pub to get together and drink! =)

Supposedly its supposed to be the 25th/26th, but I haven't received anything final on that or where the test is going to be. Id hate to book everything last minute. Anyone get any details yet?

I have yet to receive anything also. It's really starting to agrivate me. I'm starting to think that it's a blatant strategy to put the "out of towners" at a disadvantage. I guarantee that many people won't even show up if their notices don't arrive this week.
