"This is your brain."..."This is your brain on drugs!"

If he'd have used a framing nailer, the outcome would have been a little different.

The man, whose name was withheld for privacy reasons, is the only person to have survived a head injury involving that many foreign objects, according to hospital officials.

I remember a few years back, there was a guy somewhere in the US that accidently severed his arm during a construction accident. The pain was so intense he tried to kill himself with his nail gun. Survived quite a few nails to the head AND the severed arm. WOW.

Well I guess he nailed that one down alright.

**wonder how long it will be before OSHA, NAOSH or CSA (or other safety organization) get a hold of this and start putting lables on tools that say "Do not point nailer to head wist still loaded and hooked to power source"?

There, doctors said they peeled back the patientís face and removed the nails with pliers and a high-speed drill.

Ya, I saw that too... and same reaction.... I got an image of Monty Python and the whole proceedure went down hill from there.

    Smile A Couple More..........

I've had two "Nail Gun Emergencies" to deal with, so far. First, about 8 or 9 years ago, A neighbor (who is an outstanding finish carpenter) slipped and shot himself in the leg with the nail gun that he was carrying. Wife and I controlled the bleeding and waited for the BLS transport unit. Second one took more work on our part. A guy nailed his hand to a two by four as he was erecting a partition wall. We cut the two by four about a foot each way from his hand, and transported by BLS to the local ER.
