Default Lack of FH.com coverage for Tom Brennan

I'll be honest, this has upset me. A fire service expert and legend has passed on and there is nothing whatsoever on the front page of Firehouse.com. Can anybody explain why? Am I the only one who is somewhat offended by that? BTW, I never even had the privledge of meeting Tom.

WebTeam Note The story on the passing of Tom Brennan was posted on Friday morning. The poster of this thread apparantly did not see it.

I had the privilage, no, honor of sitting in on a few classes over the years taught by Tom Brennan. He was one of the greats. I have always told the new guys comming on the job, if you read anything in the fire magazines, around the station, grab the FE and open it to the last page. "Random Thoughts" always pulled me back and put tings in perspective. The nation's fireservice learned forcible entry (or should have) from Tom. He was the american fireservice.

He was a great fireman and will be missed

This person posted this more than 12 hours after the story was posted on the home page, which was posted as soon as we could get the information together. Obviously, Fire Engineering would have it first as they would have the majority of the background information. I just think he didn't see the headline, and in fact link to the condolence forum, right on the home page as one of the top stories.

Must say.. I took a class a few semesters ago and had Brannigan's Building Const. Book as a textbook and must admit, that book is FILLED with great information! It's an excellent resource for any firefighter.. of course, I'm probably preaching to the choir!

I'm thinking after a couple of days and no response-halliganhook may be a troll...
