I should have asked this in my question regarding Globe turnouts. My question is what do you like the best PBI or Advance outershell??? Please include any explanations.

Neither! Basofil gives the best TPP and THL when compared to either Advance, PBI Matrix or any other for that matter. As for the wearing out issues: yes, it may not be as tough, but after 6 years we've had to replace liners not shells, so a decent fit and manufacturer will take you a long way.
We just ordered 5 trial sets of Globe G-Extreme Basofil. We'll see, our Quest basofil wore well, but the liners seemed to rip out fairly often indicating a poor inner/outer shall fit.
