check out the article from 02/05/05 "Endurance test selects new female firefighters"
at newbritainherald.com
gotta link?
I read the article. How can they have a town firefighter training them and not other sexes or races? Is that considered discimination? What does the chief want to do, only hire female firefighters? Nothing wrong with women but lets keep it fair.
Well I don't see how the town (tax payers money) is helping women here.
The program was created and is being run at the YWCA. Yes I see two NBFD members where there but I highly doubt they were getting paid by the city to be there, it looks as if the city said yes you can do this to the one firefighter. Whats wrong with helping out a group that does not pass the test very often?
When you go to the information session for the CPAT you see what it is going to take to pass it.
