Well.... it what you are saying is true. Why would you want to be part of an organization like that. And what are your chances of changing it?

This isn't the place to air out dirty laundry from your department.
Contact a lawyer, that's what you need to do.

He's asking why it is in this particular forum. This one is for movies, films, TV shows that have to do with Fire/EMS/LEO or whatnot, or sometimes movies, films, TV shows that have nothing to do with Fire/EMS/LEO. This is something that might get better results in the vollie forum.

Oh, I dunno, this could get quite entertaining.

If you have aspirations to solve the problem, report it to your regional/municipal authority with proof.is there any thing that I maybe able to do to report this and get to stay in my spot as a fire fighter in this dept. and or a higher rank because the chief is one involved
If you have aspirations to get ahead over some other members, you are sure as hell doing it the wrong way.or a higher rank because the chief is one involved
And you just announced your department name and made slanderous accusations on an internationally viewed public message board.
IMHO, You've got more balls than brains. This will not lead anywhere positive.Never argue with an Idiot. They drag you down to their level, and then beat you with experience!

901: I don't think the problem was your opinion on attending callls under the influence of alcohol/drugs. There are very few of us who will disagree with you on that.
I think people here were concerned about naming positions and the name of your organization on a public website. It is better to be circumspect about these things in order to prevent slander ( or other) charges from being laid against you.
I am glad that this sort of behaviour is being cleaned up.IACOJ

fireman901, maybe you should go either to my "confessions of a firefighter" or "what's bothering you forum" on the off-duty firefighter forums.
To answer your question: In any situation where firefighters, professional or volunteer, are suspected to be under the influence of substance abuse or narcotics, and only AFTER, you have sent a formal written and verbal complaint to your house officers, primarily the chief, and nothing has still been done about the situation, then you file a complaint with the ES Commision to determine what can be done to investigate the situation and actions that can be taken to further ensure what can be done to settle the situation. A board meeting will also follow, and whatever further disciplinary action that can be taken, will be taken.
