I have contacted Harry and he is coming to visit my FD sometime on the trip. If you have a great AFG story to share, this would be a great opportunity to try to bend some ears in DC. We are looking at inviting our Senators and Congressman, as well as local media.
Harry's primary push here is to fully fund the AFG program, and to ensure that funds for homeland security are still available to the rank and file FD's of the nation.
Let's try to help the Charles Kuralt of the fire service!

I actually had the privilege of talking to Dr Carter myself about his project since my next one for FH.com was articles and PodCasts just like the 3rd one I did in March telling success stories from around the country and push people to rattle their representatives and national organizations to support increased funding. I did get a heads up on the amounts Congress is going to push for, but we need more support to ensure it happens.
If anyone isn't on Dr. Carter's trip list and wants to tell theirs drop me an email.
And here's hoping there are a lot more success stories coming in the near future.

I am sure there would be a lot of people who would contact him, if they knew how..... how about an email address for those that are not privy to this information?

It's in his bio, just like the rest of us contributors. We can't hide.
