    Does anyone have any info on Hampton fire and rescue. if they are going to hire, is it a good department to work for, any info?

    Thats funny... about ten minutes ago I opened my e-mail and found out I am taking the test June 12th also. I believe the hiring process is the same as most. Written test, then Physical Test, then backround and psyc profile, then hire. The written test and physical test are back to back. What do we need to bring? Sneakers? Any gear? ID's?

    Hampton seems to be a little more open with background. I was reading about their auto DQ's for employment and they are more liberal than some other VA departments. I'm thinking bringing PT clothing (sneaker's, sweatpants, t-shirt, etc and all of my ID's). Are there any other test dates that anyone knows of? Hampton seems to be a more quiet department than most also.

    What ID's? Birth Certificate, SS#, Drivers License..etc. Unfortunatly I do not have a fire department ID.

    How about that written and physical test huh? I like the hydrant connection test myself.
