    Default Charging for Fire Reports

Does anyone know if a fee is required when an insurance company wants a copy of a fire report? If so, how much?

    Thanks

I work in insurance adjusting. (Insurance companies call us to go look at the damage/fire etc...)
And most every report I order(ed) there is some kind of charge. Its been anywhere from 10 to 25 dollars. I have also been lucky enough to get it free, if I know the Chief or inforamtion officer...
    Average cost is about 20.

Usually, when an insurance company requests a copy of a report, they accompany their request with a $20 check.
What I like is the 4-page survey and the crisp one dollar bill that comes with it. Talk about incentive!
