When did the fire departments in the US become riot control agents, I thought we were there to protect and serve the public, not some company that some peaceful demonstrators were picketing, I guess the Beatles were right with the "welcome to the US sr". But its more like Germany prior to their losing a war. To see what I mean, go to the following website, and see if you would have to support that bull """"

I see a fire truck parked on the side of the road. Where do you see the fire department doing riot control. Hell, where do you see a riot? Stop trying instigate and go crawl back under a rock somewhere.
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

Well, since that link is from Mike Rovero's website, and Mike Rovero believes the "terrorists" are actors hired by the U.S. Government as part of a vast right wing conspiracy, and I assume this is Mike or one of his minions, I'm left to really not putting much credibility in their interpretation of a photo...or anything else they say.

Seeing that this mope hasn't replied to his own thread yet, I'm guessing he too has gone back to the USS... Back to the USS.. Back to the USSR.
Sorry, that was lame but i couldn't resist.

This may have been a Prison Fire Truck! Some prisons have older trucks that they use. Also I believe it is being used for medical aid also!

Last time I remember seeing firehoses used to supress a riot in this country was from news clips I've seen during the Kennedy Administration where firehoses, dogs and State Troopers were used to disuade citizens from voting, attending schools and other nefarious activities simply because of their skin color.
That's the reason I won't vote Democrat.

You gotta be kidding me. If that is your reason for not voting for democrats it is a pretty lame one. The firehoses were being turned on individuals promoting liberal causes such as the ones you mentioned.

If you're going to have an opinion, at least make a feeble attempt to have it be an informed opinion.
With that remark you just look foolish.Politics is like driving. To go forward select "D", to go backward select "R."

There is nothing liberal about wanting to vote,go to a good school or use any dang water fountain that is available. It's called being treated as a human being.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but which major party has a current member who is a former Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan?
Now,why should I vote for a party like that?

David Duke, a former KKK "grand wizard" is a Republican....
"The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."
Lt. Ray McCormack, FDNY

I was talking about the senior US Senator from West Virginia,Cap.Robert Byrd was a Klansman and was the state's Grand Wizard in earlier years.Never heard him apologize for it nor has the Democratic Party called him on it,either.
