I loved that part where the guy at the sperm bank said that they have never received a sample with dust in it.

From the previews, next weeks episode looks good.

Default a good mix of stuff…

I’m praying that Dennis Leary isn’t planning to use Rescue Me to do for Firefighters, what Brokeback Mountain and Willie Nelson did for Cowboys, and The Soprano’s did for Harley Riders and Gangsters.
Don’t care if the Rookie turns out to be gay, just spare us the details….

Other than that, a good mix of stuff…

Looked like it blowed up real good but everybody was magically outside before Franco got back. Almost like one of Tommy's dreams.

    Talking Awesome Show

I haven't missed an episode yet. I glue myself to the tube everytime it's on. It's so F*&$#!! up its great. Just when you thought you saw it all, they top it. What's with Tommy losin his load in 2 seconds with MISS TERBITTY? Tough Guys don't have those problems do they? How about when he sticks it to the ex with a bloody nose and his brother on the way to kill him. Right the F*&$#!! ON!!! Lou is losin his mind, and who does he go to for help with a tear in his eye? (TOMMY) Franco's livin the dream and the probie will suck his roomate off before the season is over. Garrity definitely has his hands full with Tommy's sister. You know she tears it up! "He stuck me with a fork, ya know a fork!" Chief will definitely break a piece off of the tempting neighbor lady before this season is up. What's up with workin in the bar? You can tell he's embarassed and doesn't like it. Anyway, I love it. Like some of you I just hope the general public realizes it's a show not a depiction of our true proffession in some aspects. LOL

Default Dennis Smith v. Denis Leary

For all you Dennis Smith fans out there, have you noticed a striking similarity between Tom Gavin and the title character in "Steely Blue?"

To answer your question about him losing it in Two Seconds.....

He tells you in the last episode why he loses it. He said he felt like a 15 year old.

I thought it was hillarious because you think he is a tough guy but then this woman is such a hottie that he just turns into a melted marshmellow.

It happens. Tough guy or not.

It was so funny that I called a FF friend (that does not like the program) and said you have got to see this. (When the episode started again).

Her face and response is classic afterwards.
    Then Leary says...well, I need a sandwich.

Yes I noticed. And thought good promoting.

That's why he couldn't punch Tommy.

Well, Tommy would kick his ***** in the end anyway, we all know that was a false attempt on Garrity's end. The seat belt was holding him back, Tough Guy that he is! ; )

    Default Steely Blue

I just went back to read it again, I agree...he does resemble Steely Blue a great deal...minus the good uptown connections.

    gets a ton of tail
    addiction problems
odd relationship with the ex and kids
does stuff that will get him killed
was somewhat attracted to the female firefighter

What killed me about the last episode, when lou and Franko got traped and disoriented
THEY NEVER INITIATED A MAYDAY!, when the ceilings started giving way and they realized they were trapped I would have been all over the radio with maydays and situation details.

Also they never masked up until the first ceiling gave way

I did think was cool though that tommy told them to set off their PASS alarms.

Yes, I like the fact he mentioned the PASS alarms too, but as long as they were sitting there they would have been going off already. Also They should have had masks on as soon as they got in the building if not before entering....

I think that the show does something for firefighter saftey (ie. wearing seatbelts)

I know Denis lost his cousin and some friends at Worchester...I seem to remember that these were two problems:

    1) pass alarms
    2) mayday's were called WAY too late if at all.

It has been a long time since I read anything on Worchester, so perhaps my facts were off, seems to me that Denis was doing some on-air healing.

    Unhappy shocker

Last nights episode was kinda sick. That was just F'd up what happened to Tommy.

Thanks for the reminder from the show that some people are sick and twisted. If I am out or at a dinner party, I will forever carry my drink to the ladies room or just order another one after I return from the dance floor. Scary thought to think someone he trusts would do something so F'd up, but that's reality.

    Default “Ginger or Mary Anne”?

    Season 3 – Rescue Me

How about a little game of “Ginger or Mary Anne”? (Anybody old enough to remember Ginger and Mary Anne) ?

    Sheila or Angie?

    Angie or Miss Terbittity?

    Angie or Janet?

    Maggie or Sheila?

And if you are old enough to remember Ginger and Mary Anne….how about Alicia (Susan Sharadon) ?
