Well, Tommy would kick his ***** in the end anyway, we all know that was a false attempt on Garrity's end. The seat belt was holding him back, Tough Guy that he is! ; )

Steely Blue
I just went back to read it again, I agree...he does resemble Steely Blue a great deal...minus the good uptown connections.
gets a ton of tail
addiction problems
odd relationship with the ex and kids
does stuff that will get him killed
was somewhat attracted to the female firefighter

What killed me about the last episode, when lou and Franko got traped and disoriented
THEY NEVER INITIATED A MAYDAY!, when the ceilings started giving way and they realized they were trapped I would have been all over the radio with maydays and situation details.
Also they never masked up until the first ceiling gave way
I did think was cool though that tommy told them to set off their PASS alarms."You choose to go voluntarily into the fire. The blaze might well destroy you. But if you survive, every blow of the hammer will serve to shape your being. Every drop of water wrung from you will temper and strengthen your soul." Margaret Weis

Yes, I like the fact he mentioned the PASS alarms too, but as long as they were sitting there they would have been going off already. Also They should have had masks on as soon as they got in the building if not before entering....

I think that the show does something for firefighter saftey (ie. wearing seatbelts)
I know Denis lost his cousin and some friends at Worchester...I seem to remember that these were two problems:
1) pass alarms
2) mayday's were called WAY too late if at all.
It has been a long time since I read anything on Worchester, so perhaps my facts were off, seems to me that Denis was doing some on-air healing.

shocker
Last nights episode was kinda sick. That was just F'd up what happened to Tommy.
Thanks for the reminder from the show that some people are sick and twisted. If I am out or at a dinner party, I will forever carry my drink to the ladies room or just order another one after I return from the dance floor. Scary thought to think someone he trusts would do something so F'd up, but that's reality.Last edited by firetruckred; 08-01-2006 at 01:42 PM.

“Ginger or Mary Anne”?
Season 3 – Rescue Me
How about a little game of “Ginger or Mary Anne”?
(Anybody old enough to remember Ginger and Mary Anne)
?
Sheila or Angie?
Angie or Miss Terbittity?
Angie or Janet?
Maggie or Sheila?
And if you are old enough to remember Ginger and Mary Anne….how about Alicia (Susan Sharadon)
?

Once again it was good to see someone call a Mayday and the pass alarms going off. Almost like they were reading this forum....

And Probie grabbing an extra Scott pack and laying rope to follow his path down as a guide. Although...I thought he should have gone in with a partner.

Was I seeing things or did the African American firefighter (his nickname escapes me) have a goatee or full chin of whiskers? I watched the 11pm re-run and I was pretty tired

Seeing next weeks previews I want to know what tommys brother means when he says " I wanted to tell you before you heard it from anyone else". Also it seems that the crew might be breaking up. Will have to watch and see what happens at the end.

Truck Changes
Anybody but me notice that in the starting credits the E-One logo is now covered and that Truck 62 is now a Pierce most of the time? Chief has a newer Suburban and even Engine 99 has been a newer truck.

Saw that it was blurred out. Caught at the end of the credits the line of something like, "Special thanks to Pierce".
