im new to the site and have a couple questions about beccoming a fire fighter in california.
1. will a tibial avulsion to my knee (ie tibia fracture where the acl meets tibia, but not effecting the acl ligament) affect my potential to be hired as a new firefighter? the injury occured in high school football (10 years ago) and have fully recovered since.
2. does anyone know if an EMT B certificate received in iowa will be valid in california? or will i have to retest to cert in CA?

California uses the National Registry test as there certification test. If you are an NREMT-B then you just have to register with a county however if you are not you will have to go through the steps to becoming national registered. This will include skill tests and a written test.
