Default Hi, and greetings from a german firefighter

    Hello everybody

My name is Alex I am 19 years old and I'm from germany. A friend from the US told me from this site so I took a look on it. I find it interesting to read stories and stuff from firefighters in other countries just to see the differences and the things we share. On the other hand it's a good training to improve my english. So I hope I'll enjoy the time I'll spend here.

    Best whishes
    Alex

Welcome to the forums, Alex. Your english appears to be quite good (at least from what I can tell in a short post ).

Welcome to the site Alex...What part of Germany are you from???
If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

I've been learning english in school for 9 years now. But I type better than I speak, because I have more time to think about what I want to say in which way.

I commend you on your language skills...I only wish many of the people here would think more about what they want to say before they say it!
I include myself in that category (sometimes).
