Background Interview

Hey Guys,

I have a background interview this friday and was wondering what I should expect?

I have already filled out all of the extensive forms and polygraph questionairre. Just wondering how I should prepare or if that is even possible.

I recently had a background interview with a department that I applied with. It was very informal (I still wore a suit and tie). The investigator basically read over my application and questionairre and asked questions along the way. It was a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. You really shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Just remember...do not follow the advice of some "experts" on here. Tell truth. Lying will get you canned faster than amy youthful indiscretion you may have committed.

Mr. Wendt is 100% correct. As an ex-background investigator if you lie you are gone. We've removed candidates during Drill School when their past caught up with them. NEVER LIE or stretch the truth. Always be honest and up front and make the best of your past. We have all done stupid things in our lives.....some have done really stupid things. This is the time to own up to all of them and take your medicine.
