Video of an incredible, INCREDIBLE rescue made by Aukland's bravest. Quite honestly I cannot figure out how they managed to run a complete air-bag extrication with a 8,000 gallon gasoline tanker burning feet away from them. Simply amazing.

Outstanding!
15 Years later it is still an amazing story.

I love that show! Used to watch it ALL the time. I know in later years there was a lot of talk that the show was fake, but I still loved it.
And I agree, Marty ... that is still quite an amazing story!September 11th - Never Forget

Whoa!!!
Unbelievable. That is one of the ballsiest rescues ever. Nice job bringing that one back into the spotlight. That's what it's all about.

I remember watching that episode as a kid when they were new episodes every tuesday at 9pm on CBS. I would be sitting in the living room at 8:59 waiting for it every week like clockwork. Then when it was all re-runs, I watched them all about 20 times.
I agree with all of the above!Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

I think they realized that everyone on the show had bad hairdoos and dressed funny.

Wow. Great story! That is amazing.
Just because it's called a throw bag, doesn't mean you throw the whole bag... you're supposed to hold onto the rope.
