    Default Physician, heal thy self...

I have a beater '92 Volvo 240 sedan I put most of my mileage on when I can...

It drinks oil. To the point I just keep a 5 quart container in the trunk to top it off once a week or so when the low pressure light comes on taking off from stops...

    Today, lights going on.

I pull into an abandoned car dealership in the middle of bum frack nowhere.

    Whistle, whistle...

Casually go about opening the hood, getting the oil jug from the trunk...

Spill a pretty good slug of oil since I'm not really paying attention...darn, oh well, never know the distance on this engine...

    Capping the engine...

    WHOOOOSHHHH

    Oh *****!

Thought #1 as I blow my first breath on the fire...I carry a 2-1/2 gallon can with foam...in my pickup.

Thought #2 as I blow my second breath...Ok, there's nothing vulnerable down near the manifold where it's burning...flames are 2" maybe 3" high at times...if I could just keep the fire off the spark plug wires it's almost but not quite impinging...

And bugger me...took about 15 seconds and 8 or so hard breaths...but I managed to keep the fire off the plug wires until it burned out it's fuel load...just kept blowing it down and away from them

Cap the oil, put it back in the trunk, close hood, turn key, continue on my journey...

    Dal:

You could have been like this guy

Since it is a Volvo, it is probably good for another 50 or 60 thousand miles.
