Re-paint a leather helmet

I want to paint my leather Sam Houston red. The Cairns/MSA recommends paint I can not get in the state of MA, plus its so much $$$$$. The Firestore.com has leather helmet paint....anyone ever use it or have suggestions.

I've painted my sam houston twice now. Yellow to black when we changed FF helmet colors, and more recently black to red when I changed rank. I used spray paint from lowes both times and it worked great. I would also recommend the citrus based paint stripper they sell.

Try 1shot sign paint. this link has it or you can try a local paint supplier. It works great!

thanks for the feedback. Sorry I posted before I checked back in the forums. I did order the paint from Thefirestore.com. We'll see how it goes.
