Do they hold it against you if you were a smoker in the past? It is part of the application to say when you smoked in your life, just wondering if you smoked ten years ago if they would hold it against you.

    Jakebrake,
It's not likley they will ask you if you ever smoked. They will ask you if you do smoke now. So don't sweat it. Almost everybody smoked at one time or another - either one cigerette or one thousand cigerettes. So where do you draw the line? The simple answer is you do not smoke and don't intend to for the rest of your life because you are a health conscience individual. Smoking does not fit into your workout. You want to stay in the best shape you could for the health and safety of you and your fellow firefighters throughout your carreer.

I asked when the test date would be when I put in my app, she said they were looking to do it sometime in Mid-November
