I am posting this for pfd109nfd107....... For some reason he is unable to post a new thread in the forums and is awaiting help from the WT........
The City of Perrysburg is looking at building a new fire station. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in 2008. The committee is looking to take a few road trips to check out new stations in the area. If you know of any stations built in the last five years in Ohio, Indiana or Michigan post them here. Thanks!!

Champaign Fire Department is opening Station 6 Oct 1st. The station will house Engine 16 and protect southwest Champaign as well as running calls on part of I-57 once the Curtis Rd ramps are done. This station is also likely to become the house of CFD's haz-mat equipment. Some pics can be seen at www.champaignlocal1260.com

Since the board won't let me post a new thread, I'll piggyback on this one until I can get it resolved... This is a few topics mixed in one, so bear with me.
To go with the thread, we are completing our station as we speak. We are planning for our Open House, Station Dedication, and Truck Dedication. Date will be on September 30th from 10:00 to 5:00. Lots of food (buffalo carp, tours of the station, rides on the truck, smoke house, and other surprises. Any area departments are encouraged to come and bring a piece of apparatus to display.
Which leads me to my next point...are there any procedures/ceremonies for dedications? I have stumbled over a few things on the web, but nothing really clear. Was thinking of a "washdown" from visiting departments on the house and truck, but I'm looking for background and history on that part. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Anyone wanting more info on the Open House, let me know.
Later!BAClair

I wonder who it could be ?
I know a certain department in Division 24 that will be breaking ground in March on a new (2nd) house.

Except there are no country clubs and there are no hills there.

I'd like to hear some replys to this, too. We've finally set our open house and need some ideas other than the politicians bragging about their accomplishments.
