    Default Question About INDUSTRY

    Hello Fellow FF's/Rescue Personnel,

I am in need of some statistical information as to how large the "Emergency Response Training Products" INDUSTRY is in terms of total dollars in sales per year for both United States and Canada along with the anticipated "Growth Rate". If anyone knows these figures or can direct me to where I might find them, I would greatly appreciate the assistance. TAKE CARE and BE SAFE Brothers/Sisters. Poprivet

    Default Thank-you HWOODS

I just wanted to say thanks for the referral HWOODS! Long Story Short.....

I have been a full-time firefighter for 11 years and also part-time inventor. Up until a few years ago my inventions/ideas comprised of Toys and Games for children. It was the LODD of one of our Brothers on my Department that redirected my creative abilities to develop my most recent innovation which is a unique Training System for Fire Emergency Services. It is no surprise that existing training systems are extremely expensive and financially unobtainable to many Fire Services throughout United States and Canada for that reason. Our Training System will provide high-quality training at a substantially lower cost than existing systems and therefore, increasing the number of Fire Services (Paid and Volunteer) that will be able to acquire one for "Training" their Firefighters and Rescuers. Furthermore, it appears that this Training System may qualify for the "AFG - Assistance to Firefighters Grant" and therefore, further increasing the number of Fire Services that may acquire one for their improved Training requirements. As we both know, more frequent "Quality" training in the Fire Service will result in "Safer" work practices and thus, hopefully reducing Firefighter fatalities. Also, as we market this new Training System concept throughout North America, a percentage of the sales dollars generated will be placed into an "Educational Trust Fund" to help support the education of children who have lost a parent in Emergency Services as a result of LODD.

Again, thank-you for all your assistance! TAKE CARE and BE SAFE!!! POPRIVET
