I have a hand me down pa-300 and the pa mic quit working. I don't know if it's the mic or the circuit board. Does anyone know of a website or webforum that talk about electronic emergency equipment?

I had the very same problem with mine. I would guess that it's the mic that's
bad, at least that's what was wrong with my unit. I opened the case, and found that it's plugged in, and did away with it. There's a plastic plug on the back side of the case, I pulled it out and used it to plug the hole where the mic used to be.... Looked like it was supposed to be that way...
You can also contact Federal Signal and purchase a new mic... Just go to http://www.fedsig.com/tech_support/service_dept/ and you should be able to get what you need...
I never really used it unless I was "mooing" at a field of cows when I drove by.... (By cows I mean the bovine kind!)Giggity - Giggity!
