first off i am athletic and exersise reguarly. i recently graduated a college fire academy with no physical problems. ive never had any medical problems and overall feel very healthy. however i just had a medical exam for a small department and got lab results back saying i had high iron. would this be anything that would get me dq'd. other than that nothing else was of any concern. thanks

I would encourage you to contact your personal physician and ask him to redraw your blood to make certain the test is accurate. I would explain the situation to him ans ask if it would hamper your chances of becoming a firefighter. Education is the key. The more you know the better prepared you will be to deal with a possible setback.
