You would have thought Sly would have had a bigger smile than that next to the beauties.

At least he is color coordinated with his post it notes.

Interesting a clock next to the key board. Is the alarm set for every 5 minutes to check 1199A's?

Jon, first off I want to know where your left hand is in that photo? Twin #1 or Twin #2 or spanning the gap, so to speak? LOL! I would also suggest that you need to write a grant to get a secretary to put some order to your office man!

$268,500.00 was the total damage!! The CAFS has worked wonderful in training sessions, and the Darley AutoCAFS is a breeze to operate. Looking forward to putting her to work!

    Default Not by AFG, but....

I told Kurt I wasn't going to brag, but since others are offering up pics~

50% of the cost was covered by a local foundation. Funny thing, the parent company (now closed) of this same foundation bought our first fire engine in 1927.

$220,800 and change. Went to bid almost a year ago, so prices may have gone up slightly. I toured the Central States plant and I can tell you, they don't waste anything! From squeezing every possible cut from a piece of sheet metal to recycling the water used in pump testing and heating the factory with it. They say it keeps the costs down.

There's a good idea on seating. Ext cab is very little additional $ (like $1200). I was looking at 2x center facing SCBA seats in the rear area but looked very tight. 1x SCBA in the center works well. How are you using the area behind the officer/driver seats? Someone in industry is making a narrow rollup door to install in this area of the cab exterior.

Thanks! We didn't have enough room or money for a 4 door or custom cab, so this was our best and most economical option. Originally, the rear seat was supposed to be center facing behind the driver, but there's a bump in the floor that won't allow that. We like this setup better, anyway. The excess room behind the passenger seat is taken up by the Kussmaul Air/Battery Charge system, but the guys at Central States were kind enough to build a stout diamond plate box around it that we plan on mounting a flashlight or two and maybe securing a med bag to. The area behind the driver is wide open with enough room for 1 or 2 sets of gear. A roll up door for a narc box or med cabinet would be a good idea, though. Some of the guys suggested we get one of those motorhome toilets and install back there :-)

You know they have medications for this sort of thing. It really cuts down on hallucinations like thinking this was a good day to play in the water...
