First round of MLB playoffs (Division Series) = 5 game series

Second round (Championship Series) and World Series = 7 game series

If the Yanks lose today, they're done.

The Tigers win, The Tigers win....... Now shut-up Yankees!!!

You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

As someone who's faced years of disappointment with various NY teams, I send my condolences. Hey at least the Red Sox won't be there right? I just hope the Mets can continue to string wins together. They are really short on pitching.

As much as I hate to say it...The Yanks pulled a Red Sox in the playoffs...doing great all the way, until they choked when it mattered. I don't know about anyone else, but it seemed like they just didn't give a flying....last night. Anyone else read that they may can Torre?

You mean that there are cheerleaders at professional sports dancing and making exotic motions? Why O Why have I just been interested at what happens on the field!

    Apparently no one.
    Tigers advance to ALCS:
The Tigers defeated the Yankees, 8-3, in Game 4 to reach the American League Championship Series.

    Default Money Ball

This will be the year when everyone admits to what they already know: that Billy Beane is on a higher plane, that he is light years ahead of any GM. I find it funny that people could care for the Yankees, a bunch of over paid prima donnas.
I was more confident in the A's beating the Yankees, but I still see the Big Hurt taking down the Tigers. At least the Tigers are respectable.
As it comes to the National League, the Mets' lineup is pretty stacked. They'll beat the Cards, but then get smoked once they face either the A's or Tigers pitching staff.

    Go A's!
