Kinda weak actually. Brings up so many points though to monday morning quarterback it though. Unless everyone else starts discussing the many finer points of it, I'll just say it was nothing spectacular.

Perhaps for the vetrans. I am new to this profession and tiptoe in here from the probie house every once in a while. I very much enjoy the exposure of videos such as this.

I don't remember seeing anything that said it was. Is this forum dedicated to "spectacular videos" only?

Because we know this WILL happen. I will stay with what appears to be the minority here by saving the rants and just say thanks for sharing trailboss. Before you say it, I'm going to tiptoe back over to the probie house and maybe trailboss will share it over there too.

Maybe it was for anyone who's never been in a house fire.

My apologies. I guess it is pretty impressive. Personally I'd say it's nothing to get worked up about, but even then I know I'd still be excited being there. Though I am always excited when I get to fight fire, because I enjoy it (fighting it of course).

    Talking And............

Yes. And No. There, that should about cover it.

Seriously, A Helment Cam can be a good learning tool, IF used properly. In this case, there was some good shots, and a couple that I'm not sure about. We (including myself here) need to remember that what the Camera picks up is totally dependent on what the user is doing with his head at that moment. If the going is getting tough, you will instinctly put your head down, (as you should) and as a result, you will have some tape that records the condition of the floor at the moment. Lotta Fire overhead, and it's not recorded. BUT, you do the safe thing and cover your butt first. My thoughts are that anyone getting a Cam should try to get in some practice at a Fire Training Facility, IF that's possible in your area. Last, a note to those younger than me: You will remember that spectacular burned Ear a lot longer than you will remember that spectacular Video you got while cooking your Ear. Stay Safe.

A good video of putting a fire out from the outside and through the windows. Not really a big deal, my neighbor could have done that. I'll leave it at that.
