Duties include responding to fires, alarms and explosions; fire suppression; managing fire apparatus and equipment; ventilating buildings; removing persons from danger; administering emergency medical services and performing fire prevention activities.
The hiring process is lengthy and involves two phases. Phase one includes a general intelligence written test and a structured oral exam (interview).
