I have a feeling that this show is going to be embarrassing - lots of cliche and overly emotional ladder 49 crap. I hope I'm wrong.

Thank you for posting the info. Looks like the producer should get a pat on the back and told "job well done" and a big fat "Thank you" !

You're probably right, but our political masters don't always respond to subtlety, so if it takes beating them over the head to get TICs deployed nationwide, so be it.

I'm with Chicago...not sure how long I'll last before having to turn the channel from either laughing or crying at all the cliches.

Absolutely amazing documentary, if you didn't see watch it the next time its on. They did an awesome job with everything and really touched on every emotion in the firehouse. Great documentary, can't wait to watch it again.

I was skeptical about what it would portray, but after seeing I think they actually did a great job.

Perhaps it'll give some people a little better idea of what the fire service is all about...Dirty, stressful and heart-wrenching, and yet, still the best "job" in the world!

They managed to almost completely avoid or downplay every cheesy, stereotypical cliche out there, thankfully. Very well done. The brother from Wisconsin got it right with his story about the "NO FEAR!!!" rookie. It's usually just a quick flash of glory followed by a lot of dirty, backbreaking, thankless work.

Yeah i could relate to alot of their stories, im glad they showed how humble real firefighters are. They didn't tell stories like how freakin awesome they are and how they are better than everyone. I felt like i could walk into any firehouse and swap stories with these guys. Man it was just good to watch TV and not be embarassed at how the fire service is portrayed. The guy who made this deserves a high five, a cold beer, and a welcome mat to americas firehouses. i would say an oscar but those are reserved for directors who are full of themselves and want money.

BTW... it will be on again tonight from 12am-1:30am... for those that want to stay up late and missed it earlier.

Typical. I am on duty all day today and no calls. Right in the middle of it, a T/C (traffic collision) on the freeway.

BUT- I did see a lot of LA City and Glendale (Class 1) in action. And yes- I figured a lot of you guys were just grinding your teeth with all of the Phenix helmet action. LOL!
