Yo Mike, just noticed you were with the Trenton FD. My wifes mother grew up there and shes looking to move up there, recently married to Dale Johnson who lives up there. I might have to stop by next time I'm up there.
    Stay safe.

I actually just remembered... I came up and toured the station one time and I believe you were the one that gave the tour. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be a cop or ff at the time, remember?

Pancho! Good to hear from ya! I do remember your visit. The house is always open to you. Hope you are doing good. Have you decided to become every cop's hero? Take care!

Ha, yea actually I have. I've been volunteering out here in Warrensburg since January. I'll stop by the station next time we're up there.

Starting pay $35,361. Top Private pay in the mid 50k. Next rank up is Capt...pay is in the 60k's

Residency required AFTER your probationary period, but Local is aggressively trying to lift it.

No idea how many they will hire off the new list. We've hired neary 100 off the current list. There should be quite a few retirements coming soon.

    AWSOME pension.

Thank you for the link, fieldseng, I put in my application today. If I was reading the announcement correctly, I don't have to be an EMT to be hired....is that correct?

That is correct. You have one year from the date of your appointment to get it.

Some are trying to make it a prerequisite to be an EMT and/or Medic to apply like most of the county. But, others are putting up heavy resistance because it would make it nearly impossible for certain city residents to get a job with the department.

So for now, you will get all of your training in the academy.

Thank you, I'm looking forward to testing. I'd imagine there's gonna be a lot of people at the test....
