How long did it take for you guys to get your helmet? I ordered mine over 8 weeks ago. Is this normal? I've contacted my dealer and he hadn't received his invoice yet.

Hey, I finally got it today! I figured out why it took so long, the guy didn't order it until 4 weeks later after I called him. Anyway, I'll get some pics of it this weekend. It is extremely lighter than my Sam Houston.

TL2 Cost?
Not to be the only broke fireman in the forums, but how much are the TL2's running these days? I'm going to order from Handtub Junction, but they don't list a price online and I've got to count out the pennies to mail to them...

Hexxus
Hexxus,
Why are you selling it? Can you give the actual specs (i.e. suspension type, chin strap type, etc)? Also, do you have an email contact?

Mine costed me $480 brand new. I'll not order anything else from the guy I ordered from. I should have used Handtub but I decided to use a guy that was closer. I've had lots of compliments on it.

WOW! Sounds like me, lately.
Working my regular shifts, teaching firefighter classes in a neighboring county, teaching live fire at my department, running my lawn service business, working on several projects on my house and spending every other free moment with my girls, my wife, and caring for my mom.
Oh, did I mention I have a few small construction jobs waiting in the wings?
Other than that, not too much is happening.

That's a lot of hours. What's your new job? I sure hope your not salaried.Last edited by fireman4949; 07-07-2008 at 02:59 AM.

Ratchet system or Nape?
What are the pros and cons.
I am very green when it comes to the Nape. I ordered my TL2 just a 1/2 hour ago, and with out thought I said yes to the ratchet system, because that is what I know. So which is better the Nape or Ratchet?
Thanks

for everyone that has one of these whats the best way to put the ear flaps in the helmet?
Also as has been said before I would highly recommend going with david at handtub junction. I just received my helmet today and it looks great and i'm sure that once I can put it in service and put it to use it will exceed my expectations.

The flaps Velcro in place...I would recommend just folding them up into the liner, much as you would any helmet ear flaps.
I completely removed the ear flaps from my lid. I never use them and they just get in my way.
BTW, I'm glad to hear that your another of Dave's satisfied customers!

Mine should be here by the end of the week. I happened to get an awesome deal on it and it was a no brainer purchase with all of the awesome reviews on here.
It cant get here fast enough!!!
Just because it's called a throw bag, doesn't mean you throw the whole bag... you're supposed to hold onto the rope.
