Phenix Leather helmets

I look forward to the photos and thank you to everyone who has contributed here. I am considering purchasing a leather helmet and I think the phenix is it.

So does the TL2 not have an impact caplike the N6A?

The Phenix leather is garbage. I sold them for while. I ened up eating the cost on more than one. The company is extremely difficult to deal with as well.

anyone have a picture of the cairns and phenix next to one another?

i just ordered a phenix leather. Does it come with paperwork stating that is NFPA compliant. I know it is, my chief just wants some documentation. THanks alot. Also will a paul conway NY style shield fit on this lid? Thanks alot!!!!

Yo- If the damage was on actual incidents (not training) and your Chief will back it, Ray at Phenix might replace it for you- Free of cost.

Call them and explain the story.

Usually any helmet that is NFPA comliant will have a sticker on the under side of the rear brim or inside the shell stating its NFPA comliancy.

I believe that the literature that comes with the helmet states that it is NFPA compliant.

The shield should fit with little, to no adjustment needed. If there is any difference at all, it will be the location of the mounting studs, but the existing holes in your current shield should line up almost exactly. ;)

I'd like to see that lid. What did you do to ruin it so quickly?

I give mine hell and it is FAR superior to my previous Cairns lids in durability. It has been in high heat, tossed around, dropped and had all kinds of crap fall on it. I just hose it off and it's ready to go. I'm currently on my second shield and I couldn't be happier with it. ;)

I ordered mine with it. If yours does not have it, you can order it through Handtub Junction, which is where I bought my helmet.
