I ordered mine with it. If yours does not have it, you can order it through Handtub Junction, which is where I bought my helmet.

All of Phenix's helmets are NFPA compliant. (NFPA does NOT approve anything) Here is your link-

    Larry,

Yeah, that's the front I got with the lid from Handtub. I put it on about a month, or so ago. I retired my last Bob Stella shield before it got to the point where it became completely obscured.

    Default Phenix Lid

Just recieved my new Phenix Leather today, and am very grateful to the owner of HandTub Junction. Very happy with the helmet, ready to break it in ASAP. If anyone is thinking of ordering one of these, the customer service at Handtub Junction is absolutely first rate, I couldn't have asked for better people to deal with. Ordered the helmet a week and half ago, lid is already here, out freakin standing. Going to try to attach a picture.

Finally got the lid today. PUt the black tets on and it looks awesome. Only problem is it didnt really come with any paperwork that says its NFPA compliant. Anyone have any suggestions? Only reason i ask is that my chief wants some sort of documentation. Thanks

Just looking at that pic, one might assume that your particular helmet is not NFPA compliant. I would put money on it that if the helmet was bought new it would most certainly state somewhere in the paperwork or on the helmet itself that it meets NFPA. These particular helmets would only have that paperwork, if it had been ordered new with goggles. The NFPA version of a phenix helmet will have nfpa goggles attached to the helmet. It would look something like this...

Yeah I just looked and it seems that a new one should come, from the factory, standard with goggles

it came with the goggles, i just have them out of the picture. The book it comes with from Phenix says something that they are compliant. I talked to ray at phenix today hes sending me an NFPA test that the helmet passed. Great company to deal with

How do you like it? I'm planning on getting me one when the time is right. The wife controls the finances. I've got some buttering up to do. Nice lid!

LRG...i can say this for sure...its definetley a different feel than the N6A I had previous. it rides nicely, Im just concerned with the flexiblity of the leather, but as others have said its not an issue. The only problem i have is whenever the leather flexes, the paint spiderwebs on the underside of the rear brim. Im thinking of touching it up with some black paint, but thats a ways off. So far I enjoy it, but only time will tell.

Anyone have any pictures of the underside of the helmet? Such as the liner and rear brim? Just want to compare. THanks

I am sure this has been asked before, but can you take out the ratchet like an N6A? Thanks

Here are a few pics of my TL-2. The last shot is a close-up of the leather detail.
