Wow, pretty moving. If you've ever been to a Firefighter's funeral, you could relate. I didnt get to go to this one. (Probably for the better) But I see a lot of familiar uniforms and patchs.

Brett.. a firefighter's funeral is something that most on the outside cannot understand. There is a bond that transcends cultures, languages, time zones and the oceans.
I, like you, have been to far too many funerals and memorial services in my 25 years on the job. Last year when we lost Ed Teran, The FDNY sent people here to the funeral.
