hello all im captain in new york and here we use blue lights and no siren im from knoxville tn and am moving back around the first of the year and will be looking for a vol fire dept near my area i was just wondering do vol fire depts use redlights and sirens for their fire fighters or do just chief officers get them i cant seem to find any laws or info on this thanx for any help you may give william.

Many volunteers use red lights and sirens in their POVs, though it's not strictly legal to do so. Blue is law enforcement ONLY.
