    Default Arff

    Does anyone know where i can take an airport rescue firefighter class? cant get a full time firefighter position here because of a drunk driving ticket so i am thinking of going over seas in iraq to be a firefighter and most require arff cert. thank you .

    If the Berlin in berlinfire is Berlin, New Hampshire, you can take it at the state fire academy.

    3400 - Basic Aircraft Rescue Firefighting
    3400-07005 Feb. 12 - 17
    3400-07006 April 23 - 28
    3400-07007 May 14 - 19
    3400-07008 June 25 - 30 . . . . . . .

    $787 in-state/$910 military and out-of-state,$1260 out of country. (Mon.-Sat. and includes five nights in double occupancy dorm room, five breakfasts
    and six lunches.)

    Kind of wanted to stay in michigan gunny, maybr thought selfridge would have something going on.

    Nothing at Selfridge, I can say that with authority-I'm the ARFF Chief of a Marine Reserve unit there. I went to SCFA myself. Supposedly, Wayne County is trying to put something together, but noone in MI grants IFSAC certs anyway, which you need. Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek does some ARFF training, but I believe it is continuing ed vs certification. Try this page for a list of places that offer classes:
