IAFF Local 2429 just got our website going. Its still under construction, so it is nowhere near done, but its coming right along.

If anyone is getting a site up, I highly recommend unioncentrics.com for hosting. Mike Bullis is VERY helpful in getting a good site together. Their graphic design guys are top notch and the programmers are fantastic. If you are looking for a good content based system to use, its worth checking out. I know this sounds like a blatant advertisement, but I've used others, and this seems to be one of the better ones for an IAFF site.

Ours is www.iaff2542.org
I have taken over our site administration, and am now looking at upgrading it. Received an email from http://www.profirefighter.com/ and am considering moving our site to them and having it redesigned. They sent this sample as well: http://iaffdemo.unionactive.com/index.cfm
SPFD and CaptGonzo, looks like you had your sites done by UnionActive. Has it worked well for you guys? ThanksLast edited by fyrmnk; 02-11-2007 at 10:56 PM.

To anyone what maintains their department's/union's website, I just added something pretty cool to ours. Its an RSS feed from the Consumer Product Safety Commission and one from the FDA. They both auto update information regarding product or food/drug recalls. Easy to add to a site and requires no maintenance to keep them current! Its in the Education section of our site, under the "about us" heading.
If you want the HTML for these to add to your site, email me and I will send it to you.
