I got caught up in the traffic tie-up that 12 police cruisers cause when they fill a 2 lane street, but thats it.
Naked Worker Found Dead At Construction Site
OSHA, Police Are Investigating
POSTED: 8:39 am EST January 10, 2007
UPDATED: 10:37 am EST January 10, 2007
WASHINGTON -- Work at the Newseum construction site in northwest D.C. has been suspended for the day while the circumstances of a man's death are investigated.
The construction site is located at 555 Pennsylvania Ave.
Turner Construction is in charge of the project. A spokesman said workers found the naked body of a man employed by Otis, a subcontractor hired to work on the building's elevators, at the bottom of an elevator shaft when they arrived for work shortly before 6:30 a.m.
"He was an employee of one of our subcontractors, but at this point we don't know what the circumstances were that caused the fatality," said Bill Brennan, Turner's executive vice president. "Police are treating it as a crime, though, because of some evidentiary things they discovered."
Authorities don't know when the man fell and no one saw him fall. They said he was at work on Tuesday and worked throughout the day.
Officials said they believe the unidentified worker fell from the fourth floor of the building. His clothes were found nearby.
The six-level, 600,000 square-foot building project will replace the original Newseum, which closed in Arlington, Va., in 2002.
The Newseum is dedicated to news and the history of journalism.
Besides hosting the journalism museum and the First Amendment advocacy group called The Freedom Forum, the building will also include condominiums and retail space.
Brennan said investigators with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, as well as D.C. police, are trying to determine what happened.

Doesn't everybody strip down to their skivies before they enter an elevator?
Maybe he was thinking:
"You know, its awefully hot here even though its DC in January. Since nobody is around I'll just strip down while I work"
"Oh oh, my bare feet are slipppper... Ahhhhhhhhh"
Either that or maybe they were filming a remake of the YMCA video. Didn't that have an Indian, a Cop, a Cowboy, and an Elevator Repair man?So you call this your free country
Tell me why it costs so much to live

Haven't seen the online news yet, but caught a headline on the tv news last night. Apparently this incident has been ruled a suicide, however there is as with all stories more to it than that I suspect.
