Bradley Airport FD Opening

Bradley International Airport Fire Department is anticipating a Firefighter opening in the spring of 2007.

Firefighters that have Firefighter II and Paramedic certification are encouraged to submit a resume to Chief John Duffy at Bradley International Airport Windsor Locks, Connecticut 06096 or fax (860) 627-3363. Starting base salary is $49,440.00 with additional pay for night and weekend differential.

Practicing Paramedics receive an additional $3,700.00 yearly stipend. Candidates will be required to pass a federally mandated background check. Additional inquires should be forward to Bradley International Airport Fire

I was looking at their website and cannot find anything posted. Do you have any other information? Do I have to fill out an application along with the resume?

Wasn't the BFD positions part of the Protective Services test that was offered last spring?

I thought that test covered: Bradley, Uconn Storrs, Uconn Health Center, Southbury Training School and the ANG.

After talking with someone high up at bradley, They are hiring only FF2 and medic's. They might hiring a Basic if they are either in the medic class or looking to start the medic class.

Do you mean they would consider FF II's withouth medic or do you mean you have to have both certs.

They want both but Fire 2 is a must! Medic is still all they are looking to hire.

I put in for it. I have FFII but no medic. I figure if there willing to hire me I'll ship off to medic school. Its a long shot but hey why not
