Default Union Dues... What do you pay?

What do you pay in union dues to your local? We are trying to see if we should increase our union dues.

in Mt. Vernon we pay 45.00/pay period. Used to be 25, but had a very messy contract/arbitration.....which we won. We're going to stay at 45 for a period of one year to rebuild the war chest.

Ours is 1% of our salary. We are 100% PAC with the International. I'm in the Founders Circle and my dues are $38 a payday every two weeks.

    $9.24 a week. or $480.98 a year.

What I get from it far outweighs the cost!

    Default Local 480

I'm on the Alliance fire dept., we pay $40 every 2 wks. We are considering raising it due to contract problems. We went all the way through consiliation and the city still wanted to fight us and take us to court. After we spent 20,000 in lawyer fees and got every other city employee their raises, even though they didn't back us up, the union fund took a big hit. We talked about sending all the other city unions a bill, but we figured it wouldn't get us anywhere.
