A couple of weeks ago we were finally issued bunker gear. It'll take a little getting used to but my company has been to a few fires with the new gear and so far so good. Personally I still prefer the long coats and hip boots but this stuff is the wave of the future so I guess we have no choice but to adjust.
Even though we're dealing with winter temps I can feel body heat building up fast. I can't imagine what summer work will be like.
