Following is a link for the State and National Fire Service Survey created for a research project being conducted by the University of Colorado at Denver along with Loveland Fire Rescue. Can you please send out the message below to all those in your department and/or friends at neighboring departments?
Your participation is greatly needed for a research project being conducted by the University of Colorado at Denver in conjunction with Loveland Fire Rescue Department in Loveland , CO . The project has been titled, "Managing the Volunteer Decline in Emergency Services." This survey is open to ALL fire service personnel who are either paid with a history of being a volunteer, paid-on call, volunteer, combination, and so on. Please have all your employees and/or volunteers complete the survey. Survey deadline is February 23, 2007.
The University of Colorado at Denver is using this survey to establish baseline information to determine the effectiveness in current volunteer operations, leadership styles, management of volunteers, and the direction the fire service volunteer system is heading. The project is expected to be completed in April of 2007 with possible publication in the International Fire Service Journal of Leadership and Management. All and any help is greatly appreciated.

Not bad, one question was vague. I'd like to see the study when it's completed.
