My thoughts are with the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department, the Daughtee family and the families of the injured, and they have my sincere condolences at this sad time.

As I said on the crusty site, 24 is far too young to be taken. Your ultimate sacrifice will not be forgotten.
Sleep with angels, Shane.

The department is just down the road from me and it is a sad day in the area. My thoughts and prayers are sent to the family and the department.

From myself and the Fisher Ferry Volunteer Fire Department, I wish the best for the family, friends, and fellow firefighters of this very brave firefighter. May he rest in peace with Jesus and the Angels.
