Firefighter Stair Climb
Looking for advice from people who may have participated or who are participating this year in the Stair Climb in Seattle. I've been in training the last three years through losing weight, fighting an injury, and endurance training to prepare for the event. I bought the weight vest and am finding it to be a great tool in helping me physically.
On a side note, did any of you fly and bring your SCBA with you? Did you run into any problems or specific ways you had to ship to bring it with you. Thanks
Climb hills, stairs, treadmills, whatever you can do. We use the weight vest on the treadmill set at 30 degrees. Best advise? Train all year, stepping up gradually, so you do not have to cram for March.
SCBA's do not fly well. You can ship them ahead of time to your hotel. Or use the ones that SCOTT provides.
