Webteam,
I've read your apology for the derogatory threads I have chosen to not read. However, those threads are still available to read as I write my farewell to Firehouse.com.
Why have you not deleted those vile threads?
I will miss the positive and constructive threads of information I have read but it's time to leave when a forum is hijacked like that individual did.
Please refund my payment as rapidly as possible.
Respectfully,
jsdobson

Please don't go. That would just be a shame.

The apology from the Webteam was regarding AmericanFool's derogatory posts. All his posts were removed.
The Webteam has no idea that this piece of shi ... trash1 .... has made all these posts. Even though Mike Ward contacted Dr. Parnell (sp?) by telephone earlier this evening, and despite what I'm sure was a flurry of PMs, Emails and Reported Posts from the rest of us, the webteam hasn't been online since 1:24pm (PST). trash1's first post was at 5:09pm.
So my assumption is that we have to put up with this crap until "business hours" resume in the morning. Same thing that happened with AmericanFool. All those posts by him didn't start this morning (Wednesday), he actually started his disgusting display last night (Tuesday).
Makes for a good argument in favor of giving certain respected members moderator powers. This whole situation would have been nipped in the bud at 5:09 and 2 seconds.
So, I hope you won't go, you are a respected member of these forums and would be missed.
Don't let the scum FDNYYBOP/AMERICANFOOL/TRASH1 win.

Amen to that...don't let that ********* keep you away from a valuable resource...I'm confident that the Webteam will be on top of it shortly.
And Rspct, you're right...we have thousands of users on the forums...giving some moderator control to a few trusted, long-time users would virtually ensure that such problems could be rectified immediately (there's always somebody on....)Chief Dwayne LeBlanc

My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

This mutt has to be one of us.....my thoughts are that you don't just stumble into Fire House.com and FH forums by accident.
