Has anyone out there attempted an Opticom (or other traffic signal preemption) system as a regional grant? Has anyone had success doing it? I'm brainstorming for 2007, and while this may be a viable option, I'm still looking for input.
Kurt, Brian...any words of wisdom?

It's eligible, but low on the totem pole of proirities. Might have a hard time convincing that it's a viable solution, the "experts" on traffic control can't agree on whether or not they're effective. These individuals obviously have never been to Houston...
It's been done as an individual project, don't know that it's been successful as a regional.
