Default Circuit city pay back contest

Actually saw this a myspace ad, but I thought I'd share it:

    http://web.firedog.com/acrossamerica/submit.aspx
"Now is your chance to help us salute the everyday heroes in our communities — those men and women who are devoted to keeping us safe.

Submit your story about how a local fire station has demonstrated outstanding service to your community (see samples here) and help them win $100,000!

Be sure to include your email address and contact information so we can send you updates about the contest, the voting and — most importantly — the finalists.

And don’t forget to tell your friends about the contest so they can vote, too.
    "

Sounds awesome, we need some cash to help fund our new station and to get a new ladder truck that we were denied a grant for.

    Hope we win.

Yeah, I'm hoping that people from companies who don't need the money don't enter in this..I'd hate to see all that money go to a company that doesn't really need it as apposed to a company who does/is having trouble paying the bills.

I agree, folks in "rich" departments should voluntarily recuse themselves from this.
